West 5th Pet Sitters opened in 1998. We are dedicated to making your pet happy, and safe while you need to be away.
The Pet Hotel consists of 20 in/out door runs. The is climate controlled indoors with privacy panels leading through individual dog doors to their own outdoor space.
The Wylie Hall (a room named after a wonderful jack russell terrier) consist of individual cages--all different sizes. This room, located next to my office, if where the more shyer, older pets stay. Their out door space is partly covered to protect them from the weather.

Pet Care Providers
Owner and operator of West 5th Pet Sitters. After 25 years of grooming, decided to further my interest in the care of pets, and opened a pet boarding facility at the family home in Hutchinson Kansas.
Christina has been working at West 5th Pet Sitters since 2016. She is owned by Toby, a mini Aussie. Most of the time-she's busy caring for the four-leggeds, taking pictures and making sure they are having a good time. Ocassionally you'll catch her in the office.
Living with 3 dauschunds, Bailey, Harley and Keeper have taught her a few things about our furr kids. A very experienced dog walker and gives exceptional care to all.
Brooklyn keeps busy when home with her puppy beagle mix named Lila and her older furr-friends Peanut and Lucy. Her pet care skills are remarkable. You see her on the walking trail often as well!
During the summer and before Holidays--we fill about a month ahead of time. Texting my cell phone or e-mailing is the best way to contact me. Include desired arrival date and time with departure date. Usually too many dog noises to successfully hear things sometimes.
Thanks for visiting the West 5th Pet Sitter Website!
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
DOES MY DOG STAY CAGED ALL THE TIME?
Absolutely not. They are all out first thing in the morning--fed--playtime and back inside for the afternoon. Out again in the evening. I prefer they get adequate exercise so they can rest when they return to their sleeping area.
WHAT DO I BRING WITH MY DOG?
Dog bowls, bedding, cots are supplied. If they have a favorite toy or blanket --you can bring it. Remember that they behave differently when they visit us. Sometimes acting out by pottying on or tearing up things that come with them. An old t-shirt or towel with the scent of home will help them adjust better.
WHEN DO YOU FEED THEM?
We feed in the morning and the evening. Some pets are also fed a noon meal. If you bring your own food-it is most convenient to use a zip lock bag for each day staying. That way is stays fresh.
MY DOG IS AFRAID OF OTHER DOGS--WHAT CAN YOU DO ABOUT THAT?
Bringing your pet to visit a couple of times before the final stay usually helps both the owner and the pet. It is possible to just allow your pet out alone. But there will always be dogs and dog noises present.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY DOG GET SICK WHILE I AM AWAY?
Please inform your veterinarian you will be boarding your pet at West 5th Pet Sitters. If you are concerned with your pet's health--visit your veterinarian before boarding. Let them know your concerns. If any health concerns while in my care, I try to contact your veterinarian.
HOW DO YOU CHARGE? DO I PAY WHEN I BRING THEM IN?
I charge by the night your pet(s) stay. Fees are collected at departure. I am open 7 days a week for your convenience. I do charge an extra $30 fee for arrivals or departures on SUNDAY and HOLIDAYS. I accept CASH, CHECK OR CREDIT/DEBIT CARDS.
